Sea Lion Pointe is now home to one of the largest commissions of BC art. The work of eleven West Coast artists ranging from glass to paint, kelp and woodwork add a cultured sophistication to Sea Lion's natural surroundings. A glass structure featuring seven stellar sea lions by internationally acclaimed Markian Olynyk and storey poles carved by Philip Gray, a young Tsimshian/Cree artist, is reflective of the ecologically and sensitive environment of Sonora Island.
