What To Pack

Packing Tips

We would like to suggest a few packing tips to make your stay at Sonora Resort and Spa as delightful and as comfortable as possible. As you'll be exploring the resort, we suggest you bring a pair of deck shoes or good walking shoes (as the resort is hilly). We do not recommend high heels.  Dress is mostly casual, with an emphasis on layers and a mix of short and long sleeves to allow for sun and wind factors. Do bring outdoor pants and skirts that you will feel comfortable in especially when you are participating in activities. Don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen – we’ll provide a Sonora cap for you to keep!

We will provide good quality light and heavy rain and wind-proof outer layers (Mother Nature can be fickle). These jackets serve as life preservers as well for ocean voyages.  We’ll supply you with the boots. Don't forget your camera, binoculars and video camera.  Of course, bring your bathing suit if you plan on taking a dip in one of the many pools.  If you're one of our international guests, you will of course need your passport. As Sonora Resort is fully connected with WIFI, you are welcome to bring your laptop, as well as palm pilots and cell phones - although we suspect you may forget about them once you're here!

Important note: Effective January 1, 2008, the Department of Transportation through the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, no longer permits loose lithium batteries in checked luggage. Keep batteries and equipment with you, or in carry-on baggage. More here

Please keep in mind that each person is permitted up to 25 lbs of luggage aboard our Helicopter.

Of course, if you do happen to forget your toothbrush or other hygiene products, we offer a small selection in our gift shop.
