The surrounding lakes and rivers teem with trout, and we offer to take you to them in a choice of exciting ways - via Grady White or by helicopter.

Our in-house fly fishing expert, who has been a local guide for over 10 years, is available to accompany you.

We have even built a 100,000-gallon well-stocked trout pond at the resort for those who would like fly fishing lessons.

The waters of Desolation Sound are renowned as calm and sheltered, but should the unthinkable happen, you may rest assured that we provide the latest and best in floatation suits, and that our guides are fully trained in marine First Aid.

Sonora Resort staff will take care of boxing and transporting your fish so it's as fresh as the day you caught it. If you're looking for another alternative such as smoked, canned, vacuum packed, ice packed or freezer packed the Sonora staff can help in arranging the necessary details.
