With the natural wonders of Sonora Island as your backdrop and the exquisite amenities of Sonora Resort as your home, here's your chance to hone your digital photography skills through group and one-to-one sessions with Bruce Dale, September 11-14, 2007. The workshop will include Bruce's tips for getting the most out of your digital camera and how to capture what you see with your eyes, in your camera. You'll get a rare inside view of how Bruce thinks about photography and then apply that thinking to your own photos.

Twice named "Magazine Photographer of the Year" and a former "White House Photographer of the Year", Bruce Dale has had over 2,000 of his photos published in National Geographic. His expertise and creative work with digital imaging has been honored by the Smithsonian Institute.

Day One starts in the afternoon, with a special welcome for you and your fellow photographers. Bruce will review your portfolio and equipment. Epson digital printers and expert tech help will also be on hand. After a mouthwatering welcome dinner, Bruce will conduct a special "Highlights from Travels for National Geographic" presentation and provide specific tips that you'll be able to apply on both of the next day's unique photo shoots.

Day Two starts with a hardy Sonora breakfast and then a boat trip to Sonora's Grizzly Bear viewing stands. Escorted by Bruce and the Chief of the local Homalco Native Band, you'll have the rare opportunity to get some spectacular shots of the local Grizzlies.

After returning to Sonora for lunch, you'll have another unique photo opportunity in the afternoon; a chance to shoot on location portraits of a member of the Homalko Band. Each participating photographer will have total control of the shoot for 10 minutes while the others continue to shoot "out of the way". You'll be able to print your photos before dinner, with guidance from Bruce and an expert technician, who'll guide you through the ins and outs of making a good print.

Following a tantalizing dinner Bruce will prepare you for the next day's photo sessions with his special tips and insights on landscape and panorama photography. This will be followed by a group review of everyone's Day Two photos.

After breakfast on Day Three you're back on the boat to an incredible old growth forest setting and, more than likely, some spectacular wildlife as well. After a wonderful beach front BBQ picnic you'll have more photo opportunities en route to Sonora; a spectacular seascape and with any luck, the chance to shoot some of the local whales.

Back at the resort, you'll download the day's photos and have a Q&A session with Bruce. This will be followed by another exquisite dinner and a photographic "Show and Tell" session by all the workshop attendees.

After a wonderful night's sleep, Day Four begins with breakfast and a chance to exchange thoughts and contact info with your fellow photographers. You'll then depart for home, armed with learning and memories that will last a lifetime.
